PETERSFIELD, Saturday, July 27.
EVENING CONCERT.—The concert given by Mr. Graham Cooke, of Flexcombe (late principal oboe of the Philharmonic Concerts, Her Majesty’s Theatre, and member of the Royal Academy of Music), came off on Monday evening, under distinguished patronage. Mr. Cooke was assisted by the following artistes:—Madame Weiss, Mr. Wilbye Cooper, Mr. Weiss, and Mr. Kiallmark (grand pianoforte), the conductors being Messrs. Kiallmark and Finley. Notwithstanding the rain (which during the evening penetrated the roof of the Corn Exchange). there was a crowded and fashionable audience, which evidently enjoyed to the fullest the great musical treat provided. The performers are all so well and favourably known that our readers will be sure that the programme was gone through with great eclat, and to the intense enjoyment of the hearers.
