ENLARGEMENT OF THE PARISH CHURCH.—An increase in the number of sittings having been felt necessary, and for the enlargement and improvement of the church, requisition has been signed by several of the inhabitants and presented to the rector, the Rev. J. M. Sumner, requesting him to call a meeting of the inhabitants of Petersfield and the neighbourhood to take into consideration the possibility of carrying out the suggested alterations. In compliance therewith the rev. gentlemen convened a meeting, which was to be held at the Town Hall yesterday (Friday.)
