     THE 12TH HANTS PRIZE FIRING.—On Tuesday the annual prize firing of the 12th Hants (Petersfield) took place at Holmington Botton, when the following scores were obtained. The prizes will be stated at the annual dinner, which will take place about Christmas. Wimbledon targets and scoring; ties to be decided by the last two shots in each match:—

     Sergeant Caplin and Sergeant Rapley having tied for the first prize, the prizes were decided in favour of Sergeant Caplin taking the first prize, given by Mr. W. Nicholson, M.P., of Basing Park, being a challenge cup and £5  5s, which having now been won two years in succession by Sergeant Caplin, will, upon his again becoming the winner, be returned by him.
