CHRISTMAS STOCK MARKET—The scene presented in our market-square on Wednesday last was in striking contrast with that which it has exhibited for a long time past. The removal of the cattle plague restrictions has shewn that our graziers are determined to retain the high position which they have so long held, and to restore the market to the pre-eminence for which it has for many years been distinguished. There was an excellent supply of choice beasts on this occasion, and a large attendance of buyers. A good number of sales were effected, and prices ranged from 5s. to 5s. 4d.
