MIDHURST.
CRICKET.—A match was played on the Midhurst ground, on Tuesday last, between the Petersfield and Midhurst clubs, and some good palay was shown on both sides. The ground was in beautiful order, and the weather was fine, although the rain fell rather freely in the morning as late as ten o’clock, but it soon dried up and play commenced. Dinner was, as usual, provided by Mr. Payne on the ground. Score:—
