CRICKET.—A match was played on our ground, the Lavington Common, on Friday last, between two elevens of the Midhurst and Petersfield clubs, the former coming off victorious by seven wickets; both the batting and bowling of our club was very superior to their opponents. We must not omit to mention the excellent play throughout of Mr. E. Brown, his batting being greatly admired. A capital dinner was provided by Mr. Payne, of the New Inn, and a most pleasant day was spent. Score:—
