PETERSFIELD.]—FIRE.—On the afternoon of the 9th a fire broke out near a cottage in the parish of Rogate, in the occupation of George Moseley, by which there were burnt a waggon and a new plough, two pigs, and half a ton of hay, a couple of sheds or outhouses and a quantity of furniture. But for the prompt assistance of the workmen of Mr. Aldridge, builder, of Petersfield, who were employed on a large building a short distance off, and from the roof of which they first saw the fire, the whole of the cottage and furniture would have been destroyed, owing to the scarcity of water.
