TO be SOLD by AUCTION, by
MR. EDWARD WYATT, at the Ship Inn, South Harting, near Petersfield. on Tuesday, the 17th of May, 1864, at Two o’clock in the Afternoon, by order of the Trustees of Harting Feoffee Charities, and with the sanction of the Charity Commissioners, in 13 Lots, the several FREEHOLD MESSUAGES, LAND, and QUIT RENTS hereinafter described; viz.:—
Lot 1.—A QUIT RENT of 6s. 8d. per annum, charged upon and issuing out of a Cottage and Garden, situate at South Harting, now in the occupation of William Brightwell, and numbered 617 on the Harting Tithe Map.
Lot 2.—A QUIT RENT of 13s. 4d. per annum, charged upon and issuing out of two Cottages, situate at South Harting, now in the occupation of George Vick and another, and numbered 641 on the Harting Tithe Map.
Lot 3.—A Parcel of excellent ARABLE LAND, called ‟The Slips,” situate in East Harting, being numbered 263 Harting Tithe Map, and containing 4a. 1r. 4p., now in the occupation of Mr. Charles Vick.
Lot 4.—A Parcel of excellent ARABLE LAND, called ‟The Woodhouse Field,” situate in East Harting, being numbered 278 on the Harting Tithe Map, and containing 3a. 2r. 6p., now in the occupation of Mr. Charles Vick.
Lot 5.—A Parcel of excellent ARABLE LAND, called ‟The Hampshire Poor’s Field,” adjoining the public highway from South Harting to Chalk Pit Hill, being numbered 661 on the Harting Tithe Map, and containing 2a. 3r. 15p., now in the occupation of Mr. Charles Vick.
Lot 6.—A Parcel of excellent ARABLE LAND, called ‟Summer’s Hole Field,” near the Harting and Midhurst road, being numbered 695 on the Harting Tithe Map, and containing 5a. 1r. 30p., now in the occupation of Mr. Charles Vick.
Lot 7.—A COPPICE, called ‟The Poor’s Coppice,” adjoining the public highway leading from Harting to Rogate, being numbered 222 on the Harting Tithe Map, and containing 6a. 0r. 3p., now in the occupation of Mr. Thomas Ellison.
Lot 8.—A Parcel of excellent ARABLE LAND, called ‟The Burnt Log Field,” situate in East Harting, being numbered 763 on the Harting Tithe Map, and containing 2a. 1r. 29p., now in the occupation of Mr. Charles Vick.
Lot 9.—A MESSUAGE or Tenement and, Garden, with the Yard, Stable, Outbuildings, and site of a Barn there-unto adjoining, and a close of excellent Meadow Land called ‟Flood Pond Field,” situate in East Harting, being numbered 699 and 700 on the Harting Tithe Map, and containing in the whole 3a. 0r. 16p., now in the occupation of Mr. Charles Vick and his undertenants.
Lot 10.—A Parcel of excellent ARABLE LAND, called ‟The Poor’s Lamb Puts,” near the Harting and Midhurst road, being numbered 681 on the Harting Tithe Map and containing 2a. 3r. 17p., now in the occupation of Mr. Charles Vick.
Lot 11.—A Parcel of excellent ARABLE LAND called ‟The Poor’s Ditcham Paddock,” near the public highway from Petersfield to Harting, being numbered 596 on the Harting Tithe Map, and containing 1a. 2r. 20p., now in the occupation of Mr. William Boys.
Lot 12.—TWO COTTAGES with Gardens and Outbuildings, pleasantly situated at East Harting, now in the occupation of Messrs. Hall and Small.
This Lot is subject to a Quit Rent of 6s. 8d. per annum.
Lot 13.—Two COTTAGES, with Gardens and Outbuildings, pleasantly situated in the village of South Harting, now in the occupation of Henry Greentree and Mary Sylvester.
