MESSRS. ETHERINGTON & SON are instructed by the Devisees in Trust of the late Mr. John Flood, deceased, to SELL by AUCTION, in lots, at the Red Lion Hotel, Petersfield, on Tuesday the 6th of August, 1867, at two for three o’clock in the afternoon,—The undermentioned
DESIRABLE PROPERTY:—
LOT 1. A Brick and Stone built DWELLING HOUSE, with tiled roof, and walled-in Garden, situate in Sheep-street, Petersfield, late in the occupation of Mr. J. Flood.
The Premises are Leasehold for the remainder of a term of 1000 years, commencing 17th July, 1789, at the yearly rent of 10s.
LOT 2. Three substantially Brick and Stone built TENEMENTS, with Verandah and Gardens in front, pleasantly situated at BUriton, in the occupation of John Powell, C. Lewington, and E. Holder—the first as quarterly tenant, at the rent of 26s. per quarter; and the two others are monthly tenants, each at the rent of 7s. a month. There is a well of good water in common for the tenants.
The Premises are Leasehold for the remainder of a term of 5000 years, commencing 21st June, 1681, at the annual rent of 5s.
LOT 3. A DWELLING HOUSE, brick built, and slated roof, in Two Tenements, with Stable, Cowpens, Piggery, and 4a. 1r. 13p. of very productive Meadow Land (including an Orchard, planted with thriving fruit trees), the whole beautifully situated in the parish of Steep, and let to Mr. J. Carpenter, as yearly tenant, at the rent of £19 per ann.
These Premises are Copyhold of Inheritance of the Manor of Eastmeon, and held on a nominal fine of 4d., and a small quit rent.
LOT 4. A FREEHOLD COTTAGE, in Two Tenements, stone built, with tiled roof, Woodhouse, and about 1¾ Acres of Land, situate in the parish of Trotton, Sussex, and in the occupation of William and Thos. Saunders, as yearly tenants at a rent of £$ 10s. for each tenement.
