WINCHESTER.
HAMPSHIRE FRIENDLY SOCIETY.— The monthly meeting of the Central Board was held at the Grand Jury Chamber, in this city, on Wednesday, (Mr. Waters, Vice-President, in the chair), when 44 new members were admitted and various claims upon the society discharged. The report of a special committee, recommending the admission of un-married females to insure for sickness pay, was read and adopted with instructions to the committee to prepare the draft of a rule for carrying the same into effect. A letter was read from the Commissioners of the National Debt-office, requiring a separate return of the receipts and payments of the society in respect of the old and new members from the year 1850 to the end of 1864, which the secretary was directed to prepare. Mr. Henry Edsall, was appointed agent of the Fordingbridge district, and Mr. John Fairbairn, of the Petersfield district, after which the meeting was adjourned.
