PETERSFIELD.

ACCIDENT FROM A FALL.—An accident of a somewhat singular nature happened to Mr. John Etherington, of Oakshott Farm, on Saturday, being one of the members and bowlers of the Petersfield Club, and who was in consequence prevented putting in his appearance on Monday against Eashing Club. It appears that he was running fast down his garden, when he ran against a forked stick unperceived, which tilted him over a gooseberry bush into a hole, by which fall we are sorry to add his right arm above the wrist was broken, and which unfortunately has placed an efficient cricket hors de combat for this season at least.
