     THREATENING WITH THE KNIFE.—Mr. JOHN MUNDY, cab proprietor, was brought up at the Magistrates’ Clerk’s Office on Wednesday afternoon, before J. Bonham-Carter, Esq., M.P., charged by Mr. George Lintott, pig dealer and beer-house keeper, of Rogate, with drawing a knife from his pocket, opening it, and advancing towards him, at the same time using a threat. from the evidence of complainant, it appeared that a grievance had existed for some time, relating to a wagonette which the defendant wished him to purchase, but which he declined to do. On the day before named the parties accidentally met in the morning in the market, when an altercation ensued, and which resulted in the charge being given. A warrant was at once obtained, and the defendant taken into custody. Defendant was bound over in his own recognizance in the sum of £20, and one surety in the sum of £10, for 12 months.
