THE LATE FIRES IN WOOLMER FOREST.—On Tuesday, the 4th the sale of fir poles, numbering 96,280 standing in Longmoor Inclosure, and 32,500 also standing in Brimstone Inclosure, damaged by the fires of August last, were submitted to the hammer by Mr. Ellen, at the Lion and Lamb Inn, Farnham. A good number of buyers attended, and it was considered, from the damage incurred, that good sales were effected.
