TO THE EDITOR OF THE BRIGHTON GAZETTE.
SIR,—In your last edition of the Brighton Gazette the following notice is inserted in your account of the Athletic Sports, that ‟Marryat threw the cricket ball 82 yards, being 25 yards less than the distance thrown by Mr. Fawcett, at Brighton College.” I am afraid there was some misprint, as the distance thrown by me, as far as I can recollect, was 127 yards 2 feet 4 inches, being 45 yards, &c., more than Mr. Marryatt’s throw.
I am Sir,
Yours faithfully
E. B. FAWCETT.
