TO THE
ELECTORS OF CAMBRIDGE.

     Gentlemen,
I thank you for the renewed proof you have given me of your confidence in again inviting me, by your decision at the Ballot, to become a Candidate for representing you in Parliament ; and I most cordially respond to that invitation by placing myself entirely at your disposal in the matter.

Having so recently had the advantage of addressing you personally and in public, and looking forward to the probability of my again enjoying that opportunity on an early day, I do not consider it desirable that I should, on the present occasion, enter upon the many and important subjects that just now call for our earnest attention and consideration; but, in the hope of being among you very shortly, and reserving until then the expression of my opinion these topics,

I beg to subscribe myself.
Your faithful servant,

FRANCIS MOWATT.
