LONDON SOCIETY FOR PROMOTING CHRISTIANITY AMONG THE JEWS.—A public meeting was held on Monday evening last at St. John’s House, on behalf of this society. The Archdeacon of Winchester was chairman, and in addition the speakers were the Revs. C. Bowen. W. Williams, H. C. Bousfield, and J. O. Zilwood, and Mr. Ayres, the deputation from the parent society. The income from the Winchester district was stated to be £158 8s.10d., being an increase of £2 7s. 10d., over the previous year. Winchester itself contributed £116 17s. 10d. of this sum.. The district association at Petersfield raised £24 0s. 10d., and Whithurch £17 10s.
