PETERSFIELD AND MIDHURST RAILWAY

A short time since it was announced, that the works were fast progressing on this line, and that Mr. William Bruxton, one of the contractors, had laid the first stone of the bridge now in course of construction, and which crosses the road between the villages of Harting and Rogate, and where it is expected the station will be built. The brickwork forming the arch was completed last week, and has a very pleasing effect in the rural locality where it stands. Great energy has been shown in the earth cutting and the building in connection with this line.—‟Portsmouth Times,” July 18.
