CHRISTMAS STOCK MARKET.—This market was held on Wednesday last, and in point of quality was fully up to the mark, though the quantity was not so large as we have seen. Among the principal exhibitors of stock were Mr. S. W. Seward, who showed 20 superior Devons, eight of which fetched upwards of £40 each; Mr. Charles Chase (Bowyers), who exhibited 22 very fine beast; Mr. W. Chase (Weston), who had a very handsome lot of Herefords, which attracted great attention; Mr. J. King, whose 15 fine fine Herefords were purchased as usual by Messrs. Franklin, of Titchfield and Wickham; Mr. H. Boys; Mr. W. Boys (Ditcham); Mr. W. Chalcraft (Bramshott); Mr. H. Chase (Tycoak) ; Mr. Coryton (Liss); Lady Fetherston; Mr. W. Goodeve (Nursted); Mr. John Holland; Mr. C Parr (Westmark); and Mr. W. Warner (Hawkley), also exhibited some first-class stock. Trade was slow in the early part of the day, but eventually the greater part of the beasts were sold at good prices.
