PETERSFIELD

     COUNTY BENCH.—TUESDAY.— before Hon. J. J. Carnegie (chairman), J. Waddington Esq., Major Briggs, and Captain Sandeman.

     —  Henry Stanley pleaded guilty to a charge of allowing a horse to stray on a certain highway, in the parish of Catherington, on Saturday, the 10th inst., and was fined 1s., and costs 6s.

     —  William Pannell and James Voller pleaded guilty to cutting and carrying away turf from a piece of unenclosed land, belonging to J. Bonham-Carter, esq., M.P., in the parish of Liss, on Saturday, the 3rd inst., and were each fined 5s., damage 4s., and costs 11s.
