SETTING TRAPS FOR RABBITS.

     JOHN FIGG, of Greatham, an old poacher, appeared upon summons charging him with setting traps for the purpose of taking rabbits, upon land belonging to Mr. Wm. Goodeve, in the parish of Greatham. It appeared from the evidence of James White, gamekeeper to Captain Chawner, that his master rented the shooting of the land, who deposed to seeing defendant set several traps in Bridger’s meadow at seven o’clock in the evening.—Convicted in the penalty of 10s. and 9s. 6d. costs.—Paid.
