PETERSFIELD.
THE PROPOSED NEW CHURCH AT SHEET.—On Friday, the 28th ult., the committee appointed in furtherance of the erection of a new Church, held a meeting in the National School-rooms, when the plans of the architect, Mr. Bloomfield (son of the late Bishop of London), were considered and approved of. The estimated cost of building is about £2,000, and it is gratifying to state thay about £700 was subscribed in the room before a separation took place. It may be well to notice that the inhabitants of the Tything or parish of Sheet, occupy sittings in the parish Church of Petersfield, and it being considered necessary that additional Church accommodations was required, it was therefore advisable to build a new Church at Sheet, than to enlarge the old one at Petersfield.
