—After their victory the Petersfield men were entertained with the Winchester men to a capital dinner at the Corn Exchange, at the cost of Capt. W. B. Simonds, who, however, was unavoidably absent, but his place was well filled by his brother, Lieut. Simonds. The usual loyal toasts were given, as well as that of the entertainer, after which the Petersfield men took their way for home at an early hour.
