ROGATE.

FUNERAL OF THE VICAR.—Our obituary of to day records the death of the Rev. H. H. Greene, who for many years has been vicar of this parish. The reverend gentleman has been ailing for some considerable time, but up to the new year attended to his ministerial duties. Soon after he was confined to his house, since which he has been gradually sinking. His remains were interred in the churchyard on Tuesday at 11 o’clock. A considerable number of clergymen beside the reverend gentleman’s personal friends, were present to witness the closing scene. The shops were closed in the village, and altogether a heavy gloom hung over the place.
