THE PETERSFIELD CHORAL FESTIVAL—A silver-mounted ebony bâton with this inscription: ‟Presented to Mr. W. Packham, Mus. Bad., in commemoration of the success gained at Petersfield Competition, April 25th, 1901,” was recently handed to Mr. Packham by Mr. E. Wood, the senior chairman at the Havant Parish Church, on behalf of the choir, which obtained three first prizes and one second in four classes at the competition mentioned.
