PETERSFIELD.
ACCIDENT.—On Saturday last, a young man named Faithful, by trade a carpenter, in the employ of Mr. George Wakeford, of Hawkley, near this town, was engaged in his occupation on a scaffold about 14 feet from the ground, when unfortunately he missed his footing and fell. It was at once seen that he was seriously injured and medical advice was thought to be absolutely necessary. Mr. Cross, surgeon, was sent for, but up to the present time the sufferer lies in a precarious state.
